How This Weekend Came to Life
The idea for this special weekend was born during Slow Bal-Love Week 2024, where we had the chance to dive deep into the intricacies of Slow balboa and explore its relations to other slow dances within swing and Slow Blues dancing. At its core, it is all about the music and the joy of dancing. We want to be able to move to any great song, listen to our partners, adapt our dancing, and have the best time. We know we are not alone in our love for slow music and dancing, and we believe in uniting communities. There’s so much we can learn from each other! Save the dates, registration will open soon!

Enric Peidro Trio
Con más de dos décadas de experiencia como solista, una veintena de registros discográficos como líder y más del doble como sideman, además de actuaciones en los festivales de jazz más prestigiosos del país, giras por varios países Europeos y colaboraciones con algunos de los intérpretes más importantes del género a nivel mundial, el saxofonista Alcoyano Enric Peidro es uno de los referentes en la escena del swing y jazz clásico internacional. En esta ocasión se presenta en trio con el que ofrece su visión contemporánea del jazz tradicional tan profundamente enraizado en la tradición como creativo, fresco e imaginativo.
The Sentimental Gentlemen
The Sentimental Gentlemen es una formación creada en Madrid en 2022 para tocar exclusivamente música Swing de los años 1930 y 1940 en el estilo de los conjuntos de la época (Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington y un largo etcétera de artistas). Su repertorio (más de 90 temas) está cuidadosamente seleccionado y arreglado para la comunidad de bailarines de Lindy Hop y Balboa, que disfrutarán de un directo lleno de energía, sutileza y, ante todo, toneladas de swing. Dirección Musical y Arreglos: Daniel Cabrera, Giorgio Gallina y Paolo Furio Marasso. Yevhen Riechkalov: trompeta, Giorgio Gallina: trombón, Benjamín Rosado Mitte: piano, Daniel Cabrera: guitarra. Jessie Gordon
La galardonada cantante de jazz y blues Jessie Gordon, originaria de Perth, Australia, comenzó su carrera a los 16 años y, desde entonces, ha actuado en todo tipo de formatos, desde dúos de jazz hasta big bands. I am a social dancer with at least a year of experience in Balboa, Blues dancing, or another partnered dance. However, I am a beginner in Slow Balboa or Slow Blues dances. I want to build confidence and feel more comfortable dancing to slow music of any kind. I am eager to refine my basics and develop a solid foundation.

Saturday night brings the stage to life with two outstanding jazz artists. Saxophonist Enric Peidro, with a long-standing international career, leads his trio in a vibrant performance that blends traditional jazz with a fresh, contemporary feel. Joining him is the outstanding Jessie Gordon, an award-winning jazz and blues singer from Australia, known for her powerful voice and captivating stage presence.
An evening full of swing, style, and live music energy.

We wrap up Slow Flow with a night full of pure, classic swing. The Sentimental Gentlemen, a Madrid-based band created for the dancer community, will take us on a journey through more than 90 swing gems from the 1930s and 40s – all arranged with the dance floor in mind. Joining them is the brilliant Jessie Gordon, whose voice and charisma will make this final night one to remember.
A perfect ending to dance with grace, connect through music, and celebrate the weekend together.
